On Saturday, December the 19th 2004, hundreds enjoyed Santa's Grotto, mulled wine, street entertainment, and Mr Moon's fun fair on the Royal Burgh's High Street.  Jedburgh's own 'Weng man' also ventured out and was snapped exiting Jackie Lunn the Bakers. This should not be taken as an endorsement however, everyone has to eat.
The children were entertained by the town's youth CO2 in the new Jedforest Instrumental Band room. The morning started with a fancy dress parade on horse-back led by Santa. The group set off from the Glebe, paraded round the square then on down the Canongate to the old folks home. The Pipe Band entertained then the mounted riders displayed their costumes and the 'old folks' were delighted to see everyone. The rides in fancy dress headed up the Castlegate to the Jedburgh Cottage Hospital where the residents were delighted to see everyone.
Meanwhile in the town centre, the Round Table were busy selling Christmas trees and the public gathered for carol singing under the Christmas tree at 4pm. A good day was had by all.
